The Reality of Christ Church believe in one God, the father almighty, maker of heaven and earth and all things visible and invisible; and in one lord Jesus Christ and in the holy spirit.

THE BIBLE

The Old Testament is God’s written revelation to man, fully inspired by the spirit of God to the very words penned by the human authors. Therefore all 66 books are inerrant and foundational as the final authority in matter of doctrine, practice, and lifestyle. The bible does not simply contain the words of God, but is, in reality, the complete revelation and very word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit. Christian believers today receive spiritual illumination through the power of revelation of the holy spirit to enable them to understand the scriptures, but God does and will not grant new revelation that are not contrary or additional to the inspired biblical truth.

THE TRINITY

There is one and only one, the true living God who is infinite, all knowing, intelligent maker and supreme ruler of heaven and earth. He is inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all possible honor, eternity existing in three persons. They’re God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, having the same nature and attributes and are worthy of the same homage and submission, confidence, and obedience.

THE FATHER

We believe that the father exits and eternally as the creator of heaven and earth, and the one from whom all things derive including salvation. He has not been seen by man but chose to reveal himself to man through his son Jesus Christ. He is first, the father of his son Jesus Christ, but his love for the world and through adoption, the father has bestowed the wonderful privilege to all saved sinners of also regarding God as father. The Father is the giver of all good gifts including his son. The Father sets the times and the seasons by his own authority. At the end of this age, the father will receive the kingdom of Christ from his reigning Son, then Christ and all things will be subjection to the father that God the father may all in all.

THE SON

We believe the lord Jesus Christ is the eternal one and only begotten Son of the father who is God and equal to God the Father. He is true God and true man, the exact representation of God being, in him the fullness of God resides bodily. He is the only way by which man may be saved to come to the father. He is the creator of all unseen. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and by his sinless live, miracles and teaching, gave full revelation of the father. He died on the cross, the just God dying for our justification, as substitution and acceptable sacrifice before the father. He was buried in the ground as a human being in the flesh and three days later arose victorious from the grave. Upon his resurrection, he ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the father as the head of the church and our high priest. We believe that soon, he is coming back again, and will judge the world in righteousness.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is divine and eternal, possessing all the attributes of the deity. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the father and was sent into this world by Christ to bear witness of Christ. He is not just an impersonal force of God’s power but one who is able to speak, teach and indwell all those have put faith in Christ. The Holy Spirit is also able to be grieved and quenched by sinful attitudes and action carried out by the believer. He possesses both mind and will, therefore being a distinct person of deity of God. He holds a distinctive power of and eternal sin for into this world to all who blaspheme and speak against him. He was sent by Christ into this world to convict men of their sin, their need of righteousness, and of the coming judgment. He is the source of power for both the believer and the wholeness of the church and the distributor of spiritual gifts. He leads believer into truth, transforms and sacrifices to grow increasingly into the image of Jesus Christ. (John 15: 26-27). The Holy Spirt unites believers to Jesus Christ in faith, brings about the new birth and dwells within the regenerate (Eph. 1:13-14).

THE BAPTISM

Baptism in water is by immersion, a direct commandment of our Lord (Matthew 28:19), and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection (Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36-39)

THE CUMMUNION

We believe in partaking of the bread and the cup of communion in remembrance of the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection. The ordinance of the Lord’s Supper is a commandment of our Savior; and being a memorial to His death and resurrection, is strictly limited to Christian believers (1 Corinthians 11:27). The time and frequency of its observance is left to the discretion of each congregation (1 Corinthians 11:26).

MARRIAGE

We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in scripture (Genesis. 2:18-25). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Cor. 6:18, 7:2-5.
